jamjar offer a part exchange service so you don’t get stuck trying to sell your old car. Our valuations can be given over the phone (please call 0845 608 1133, Mon-Fri 9am - 6pm) and are based on up to date market information.
The valuations we offer are based on trade valuations using a motor industry standard called CAP. CAP is an independent and a well respected motor industry used car valuation guide. CAP guides are updated each month and used throughout the motor industry to assess the value of the vehicle based on its age, mileage and condition.
Once you have placed your order with jamjar our customer support team will send out a welcome pack. The pack will contain the part exchange details including the valuation appraisal sheet showing the details of your car you provided by phone. The valuation check sheet should be checked, signed and returned to:

Please bear in mind that we cannot guarantee the valuation until your car has been seen on the day of collection. As our valuations are provided via the phone they are reliant on the accuracy of the information you provide so the more detail you can provide us with the better. Collection of your vehicle
To make life simple, your part exchange vehicle will be collected at the same time as we deliver your new car (see ‘Delivery’ on the times available). The handover will take approximately 30 minutes as we will need to check the vehicle chassis number against your cars documents and check the wear and tear condition matches the condition on the signed valuation appraisal.
It is important to be clear that if there are any discrepancies between the description of the wear and tear versus the condition of the signed appraisal, we have to revisit the valuation and this may effect the final value.
