According to consumer watchdog Which?, these are the percentages of faults with eight premium-badged cars that have higher-than-average cases of faults, as reported by multiple owners.

Alpine A110 (2018-present):

  • Fuel system faults: 35% (compared to 4% average across all 0-4 years cars)
  • Cooling system faults: 16% (compared to 3% average across all 0-4 years cars)
  • Exhaust/emission fault: 16% (compared to 3% average across all 0-4 years cars)

The Alpine A110 (2018) has been reported to have higher-than-average fault rates. While there haven’t been any major issues, one thing to look out for when considering a used A110, is that there is a fuel pump recall. Audi A1 (2010-18)

  • Fuel system faults: 18% (compared to 4% average across all 5-9 years cars)

The A1 comes with a 1.6-liter diesel engine equipped with a DPF. The BMW 5 Series Saloon (2017-2023) is generally reliable, but it does have some issues to be aware of, one of them being that it has encountered exhaust/emission fault in approximately 16% of cases. Mercedes-Benz C Class Estate (2014-21)

  • Exhaust/emission fault: 17% (compared to 5% average across all 5-9 years diesel cars only)
