The fastest car in the world

The world's fastest car, know what it is? Discover the top 6 fastest cars in the World right here and what they have to offer.

Ever wondered what the fastest car is in the world? If it’s one of those thoughts that has crossed your mind then you’re in for a right treat. We’ve got the top 6 world’s fastest cars right here, according to claimed or proven top speed.

1. Bugatti Chiron Super Sport

Turns out that last year, this Bugatti performed beyond expectations and became the first car to break 300 miles per hour on the track. And if this isn’t baffling enough, imagine it covering 450 feet in just a single second. Mind blown, right.

Although the Bugatti holds the title, for now, they may be out of the running in the future given that they intend on focusing on other areas in the future.

2. Hennessey Venom F5

The Hennessey F5, previously at the top of this list, claims a top speed of 301 miles per hour and is the next fastest thing to the Bugatti above.

Sadly, for this Hennessy, the Bugatti waded in and stole the top spot for the fastest car in the world. Utilising a carbon fibre chassis and a 7.4 twin-turbocharger, the F5 can perform from 0 to 249 miles per hour in less than just 30 seconds! Amazing, isn’t it?

3. SSC Tuatara

When was the last time anyone heard about SSC, because we can’t remember? But one thing that we do know for sure is that the Tuatara can perform and it did just that when it hit 300 miles per hour, exceeding the 265 miles per hour that was expected.

If there’s one thing that the Tuatara does have, it’s power. Routing power to its rear wheels through its seven-speed automated manual gearbox, the Tuatara is just rearing to go.

4. Koenigsegg Agera RS

If its proven claims that you’re after then, skip everything else and come straight to the Koenigsegg Agera RS. With an average pace of just 285 miles per hour, this is outstanding and a record within itself.

So, dismiss the rest and just get to the best. If it wasn’t for the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport coming out of the water, then the Agera RS would still be up there.

5. Hennessey Venom GT

The Hennessey Venom GT has seen brighter days but it has for sure come out of the woodwork and taken us by storm with its first standalone build performance car.

With that being said, you’ll be buzzing to know that the Venom GT has a top speed of 270.4 miles per hour. Although it has received some criticism, the Venom GT is a hand-built machine that deserves to be recognised among other top performing cars.

6. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

As you’ll already know, Bugatti has been dominating the world’s fastest car category for quite some time now. Hitting 268 miles per hour, Bugatti has created an impressive Super Sport, wouldn’t you say?

With some impressive horsepower and aerodynamic improvements, the Super Sport is here, and it’s here to stay.
